That night, she called Paul. The two chatted and had fun. These late night conversations continued for months. Till one night, Ella plucked up her courage and expressed her love for Paul. Paul loved Ella too. After much considerations, Paul realised that he and Ella would last. Thus, he asked Ella to be his girlfriend. Obviously, Ella agreed to it. They went steady for one and a half months. One day, Ella announced that she wanted to end the relationship as her parents did not agree to her having a boyfriend. It was an excuse to break up with Paul. Paul could not accept the excuse, but like many love victims, he had no choice but to let her go. Ella and Paul did not contact after the Break up.
Many years past. A girl, Mary, fell in love with Paul. They became steady. However, Paul still loved Ella dearly but never had a chance to tell her that. One day, while walking along the streets with Mary, Paul saw a familiar figure across the road. It was Ella!!! Paul immediately dashed across the road without second thoughts. He was about to reach the side of the other road when a truck came towards his direction. BANG! Paul did not make it to the other side of the road, and not to Ella. Paul was hit by the truck. Mary screamed as she rushed towards Paul who was lying in a pool of blood. Ella joined the crowd. She recognized the face. It was the guy who loved her so much. Next to him was Mary. She screamed at him, with tears in her eyes, "Don't give up! Say my name. Repeat it a hundred times a thousand times or even a million times. You are not to stop till you've finished a million times!"
Everyone thought that Mary was Paul's girl. Hoever, weeping alone at one side was the true love of Paul's life. The very one who broke up with him and broke his heart. Ella regretted breaking up with Paul. She recalled how nice he treated her in the past. Her tears flowed uncontrollably.
Paul was sent to the hospital. Mary and Ella were there too, praying hard for him. An operation was performed. Hours passed. The doctor came out, shaking his head. he thought that Mary was the love of Paul's life. He said to Mary, "Miss Ella, your boyfriend did not survivr. He gave up after calling up your name for 157th time. I'm sorry."
The doctor mistook Mary for Ella. Paul was calling out for Ella. Ella cried in a corner. She knew why Paul stopped at the 157th time. It was that day, 15/7, that she broke up with him. It was her who ended the relationship which Paul treasured so dearly. This had indirectly cost Paul his life.

If you love somebody deeply, never leave the person. You'll never know when you'll need him/her in your life again. You'll never know if your relationship with your partner might mean a life to him.
